Argentine musical institutions engage in regional training and orchestral exchanges

Various musical institutions in Argentina are engaging in regional training and upcoming international orchestral exchanges.

Members of the Orquesta Municipal San Salvador recently participated in several professional development programs across the country. These included the Sierras Sonoras intensive training in Villa Carlos Paz, the International Orchestral Conducting Seminar in Neuquén, and the First Music Education Congress in Concepción del Uruguay. These initiatives involved both professors and students participating in workshops and concerts to strengthen musical formation.

Additionally, the Escuela Provincial de Música Re Si has been invited to participate in the XIII Binational Meeting of Latin American Children and Youth Orchestras of Patagonia (MOLPA). Scheduled for September 2026 in Trelew, Chubut, the event will feature delegations from Río Turbio, represented by the Pukara Orchestra, and Caleta Olivia, represented by the AunquinCO Latin American Orchestra. The Provincial Council of Education is coordinating the logistics for these regional delegations to promote cultural exchange.
