Argentine Navy conducts maritime training flights in Río Grande

The Argentine Navy conducted a week-long series of scheduled training and maritime exploration flights in southern Patagonia. The operations utilized a Lockheed P-3C Orion aircraft, specifically tail number 6-P-57, which operated out of the Río Grande Naval Base.

The aircraft arrived in Río Grande from Trelew on Monday and remained active through Friday. During its deployment, the plane also conducted flights near Ushuaia. Naval Aviation officials confirmed that the frequent presence of the large military aircraft was part of a planned training program and included maritime surveillance tasks. Officials stated that the activities were routine and intended to maintain crew readiness and long-range exploration capabilities.
