Argentine players Tirante and Cerúndolo eliminated in Beijing

Argentine tennis players Thiago Tirante and Juan Manuel Cerúndolo have been eliminated in the opening round of the ATP tournament in Beijing.

Thiago Tirante lost his match against Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. Struff dominated the first set with a 4-0 start, and although Tirante improved in the second set, he was unable to capitalize on a break point opportunity at 2-2 before losing his service in the seventh game.

Juan Manuel Cerúndolo was defeated by local player Yunchaokete Bu in a three-set match, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4. After a dominant first set by Bu, Cerúndolo fought back to take the second set, but Bu secured the victory in the deciding set following a break in the sixth game.
