Regional safety drills and emergency training underway in Argentina and Mexico

Various regional authorities in Argentina and Mexico are conducting training and drills to improve public safety and emergency response.

In Jujuy, Argentina, the provincial government is organizing a simultaneous seismic evacuation drill involving 15 educational institutions across several locations, including Alto Comedero and Capital. The exercise aims to test emergency protocols, evacuation times, and the response of staff and students to earthquake alarms.

In Ushuaia, the municipality has provided training for employees driving official vehicles. The program, held in coordination with local volunteer firefighters, covers preventive vehicle inspections, the use of safety kits, and proper fire extinguisher operation.

Other safety initiatives include road safety awareness workshops for students in San Martín, outdoor activity safety training for hikers provided by police, and first aid workshops for community groups in Ometepec, Mexico, led by local Civil Protection authorities.
