Argentine police officers sentenced in fatal Fiorito vehicle collision

A correctional court in Lomas de Zamora has sentenced a police officer to three years and eight months of effective prison time, to be served under house arrest, for the aggravated manslaughter of a nine-year-old boy. The incident occurred in November 2023 in Fiorito when a patrol car struck a motorcycle, causing the death of Bautista Yedro.

A second officer, Jonathan Arancibia Tejerina, received a two-year suspended sentence and a four-year driving ban for aggravated negligent injuries. The court proceedings examined the responsibility of both officers in the collision that claimed the child's life.
