Argentine police seize cocaine, marijuana and cash in Pedreira and Castelli

Police operations in two Argentine towns resulted in major drug seizures. In Pedreira, military police stopped a vehicle, discovered packaged marijuana and a bag of cash, and later raided the driver’s residence. Officers seized approximately 3 kg of marijuana, 457 g of cocaine, more than 15,000 reais in cash, precision weighing equipment, production tools and a vehicle. The driver was detained while his wife, who was found with an infant, was released after claiming she was unaware of the stash.

In Castelli, police from the Division of Drug Operations executed a search warrant at a house on Chacra 64. The raid yielded 52 g of cocaine, 201.8 g of marijuana, a digital scale, assorted paraphernalia for drug processing, over 739,000 pesos in cash, and a .22‑caliber revolver with ammunition. A 31‑year‑old man was arrested and placed under judicial custody.
