Argentine police seize firearm and arrest drug suspects in several cities
Police forces in Argentina carried out a series of drug‑related operations across the provinces of Santa Fe and Buenos Aires. In Rosario, the Airport Security Police (PSA) seized a .22 caliber weapon with ammunition and detained three people, including a woman linked to a noted local drug trafficker, during a night patrol under the Plan Bandera initiative. In Concordia, undercover officers in civilian clothes arrested a man selling marijuana and cocaine after acting on tips from residents. In Tortuguitas, two individuals were stopped during a vehicle checkpoint and found carrying marijuana, leading to their detention. In the Quilmes municipality, investigators uncovered a drug‑distribution bunker in Villa Itatí, arresting a 23‑year‑old woman and confiscating about 150 cocaine packets and cash. All arrests have been forwarded to the judiciary for prosecution.
