Argentina police seize cocaine, marijuana and firearms gear in Santa Fe anti‑drug raids

Police investigators from the Argentine Ministry of Justice and Security conducted five simultaneous raids in the town of Melincué, Santa Fe Province. The operations targeted a micro‑trafficking case and resulted in the seizure of more than nine kilograms of marijuana, cannabis seeds, coca leaves, a digital balance, mobile phones, SIM cards and related documentation. Four suspects identified only by initials were arrested and transferred to a regional detention unit.

In the provincial capital, Resistencia, officers from the motorized Lince group intercepted a 20‑year‑old driver of a black Jeep Renegade after a community tip. A field test confirmed 42 grams of cocaine hidden in the vehicle, along with more than 24,000 Argentine pesos in cash, a cellphone, a kit for converting pistols to sub‑machine‑gun style weapons, and the vehicle itself. The driver was detained and the seized items were taken to a police precinct for evidence processing.
