Argentine police seize multi‑million‑dollar cocaine in two busts
Police in Argentina intercepted a vehicle on the General Belgrano bridge on Ruta Nacional 16, between Corrientes and Chaco, seizing 0.366 kg of cocaine valued at roughly 8 million pesos. The suspect, a repeat offender from Formosa, attempted to discard the package and resisted arrest before being detained.
In a separate operation in the Almirante Brown district of Buenos Aires Province, police dismantled a narcotics “bunker” after neighborhood complaints. Agents seized numerous high‑purity cocaine packages, digital weighing scales and a 9 mm pistol, and arrested the 33‑year‑old operator of the site. The premises were handed over to municipal authorities to prevent further illegal use.
