Argentine provinces advance cultural diversity and human rights initiatives

In Tierra del Fuego, the provincial government is working to institutionalize the Provincial Council of Cultural Diversities. Through the Subsecretariat of Indigenous Peoples and in coordination with various secretariats, officials held a meeting with representatives from immigrant collectives in Ushuaia and Río Grande to establish a framework for dialogue and participation between the state and community organizations.

In Tucumán, the National University of Tucumán (UNT) has joined the Special Commission for the Preservation of Memory. Created by the Tucumán Legislature, this commission brings together representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Judiciary, and human rights organizations. The group aims to research, preserve, and disseminate historical memory regarding state terrorism in the province, focusing on educational activities for younger generations.
