Argentine provinces expand university partnerships for health and science

Argentine provinces are implementing new initiatives to strengthen professional training and scientific research through partnerships with national universities.

In Río Negro and Neuquén, health authorities are advancing educational programs for community health agents. Río Negro is collaborating with the Universidad Nacional de Río Negro to create a bachelor's degree, while Neuquén has launched a higher technical degree for existing agents. These workers serve as a vital link between families and the public health system by conducting home visits and promoting disease prevention.

In Santa Fe, the provincial government is financing scientific and innovation projects in coordination with several institutions, including the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, the Universidad Nacional de Rosario, the Universidad Nacional de Rafaela, and the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional. This funding scheme aims to drive regional development and support small and medium-sized enterprises through applied science and technological innovation.
