Argentine provinces implement public sector salary increases

Several Argentine provinces have announced or formalized salary adjustments for public sector employees.

In Formosa, the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Treasury announced that October salary payments will include a 5% increase, representing the third installment of a previously announced 15% raise. The province has also established a guaranteed minimum net salary of $1,200,000, excluding family allowances and additional supplements. Total disbursements for public human resources and educational subsidies are expected to exceed $130 billion.

In Entre Ríos, Governor Rogelio Frigerio signed a decree officializing a 3.5% salary increase for provincial employees, retroactive to September 1, excluding teaching staff. The measure updates minimum wage floors across various scales, including $792,720 for general administrative roles and $1,023,566 for the nursing career. The decree also modifies salary scales for the police, penitentiary service, and health professionals.

In Misiones, provincial authorities confirmed that active workers will receive their salaries with announced increases on October 31. While active employees receive the current adjustment, retirees and pensioners are scheduled to see their respective increases applied in November.
