Argentine provinces prepare 2027 budget proposals

The provincial governments of Tucumán and Salta are advancing their financial planning for the 2027 fiscal year.

Tucumán Governor Osvaldo Jaldo confirmed that the provincial administration will submit its 2027 budget proposal to the Legislature this week, meeting the October 31 constitutional deadline. The project is estimated to be approximately 7 trillion pesos, aimed at financing provincial administration operations. Economic projections for the budget are being influenced by national inflation forecasts, including the 21.1% annual inflation rate estimated by President Javier Milei’s administration.

In Salta, Governor Gustavo Sáenz’s administration announced that the 2027 budget project will be presented to the Legislature on December 1. Additionally, the Salta government released its year-end salary schedule, noting that October salaries will be paid on October 31, November salaries on November 28, and the mid-year bonus (aguinaldo) on December 17. The province also plans to reopen wage negotiations with state unions in late November to discuss working conditions in December.
