Ecuador and Argentina launch initiatives to boost cacao exports and SME development
In Ecuador, the National Association of Cacao Exporters (Anecacao) has launched a new sectoral brand, ‘Cacao ecuatoriano, naturalmente, el mejor del mundo’, to position the country's cacao in high-value international markets. This initiative coincides with the fifth edition of the Chokao fair in Samborondón, which features business rounds, international conferences, and over 120 participating brands. The strategy aims to emphasize origin and quality as global cocoa prices have seen significant fluctuations.
Simultaneously, various regional initiatives in Argentina are focusing on small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) development through specialized training. In Jujuy, over 100 companies are participating in the Red Pymes Comex program to improve international trade capabilities. In Formosa, the Business Development Agency (ADE) is offering workshops on commercial management and process organization. Other programs include technical assistance for growing businesses in General Pico and 5S methodology training in Tierra del Fuego to enhance workplace productivity and efficiency.
