Argentine retailers implement discounts and extended hours for Children's Day

Retailers in Argentina are implementing various strategies to boost sales ahead of Children's Day amid a challenging economic climate and declining consumer spending.

In San Miguel de Tucumán, the Chamber of Commerce announced that businesses specializing in toys, children's clothing, and sporting goods will operate with extended hours this Friday and Saturday, from 9:00 to 21:00. Chamber President Gabriela Coronel noted that while the sector expects a sales increase of between 8% and 10%, they are facing an overall downward trend in consumption. To attract customers, merchants are preparing promotions and financing options.

In other regions, such as at the Espacio San Juan, clothing retailers like Grisino have launched aggressive discount campaigns, offering up to 50% off seasonal and mid-season apparel, including clothing for infants, children, and adolescents, as well as footwear and accessories.
