Argentine schools advance in national cooperative and health project contests

Five schools in Santa Fe province were selected among the 50 initiatives that continue in the COOPATHON EDUCATIVO, a national competition that gathered 184 proposals from 21 provinces. The contest, promoted by the Fundación Grupo Sancor Seguros, the INAES and CALCME, supports cooperative and mutual school projects. Selected schools include the Rural School N.º 342 “Tomás G. Cruz” with its “Forest Energy Path” outdoor learning project, and the Primary School N.º 379 “Florentino Ameghino”. The schools will receive virtual training and mentorship through August and will compete for a final round. Director Mariela Tión said, “Como cooperativa escolar, en apenas tres años hemos avanzado enormemente en materia educativa.”

In Entre Ríos, the Me Activo, Me Cuido, Nos Cuidamos 2026 contest recognized ten pedagogical projects from 50 institutions. Organized by the Consejo General de Educación together with the Ministry of Health of Entre Ríos, the competition promoted healthy habits, physical activity and community wellbeing. Recognized schools include the Integral Education School N.º 1 of Concordia, the Escola N.º 67 Semana de Mayo of María Grande, and others across the province. Winners were praised for fostering active lifestyles, interdisciplinary work and community participation.
