Argentine schools celebrate 75th and 100th anniversaries

Two educational institutions in Argentina recently celebrated major historical milestones.

In Reconquista, the Mariano Moreno Primary School (also known as ‘Escuela Matadero’ by the local community) marked its 75th anniversary. The event included local authorities, including the Mayor of Reconquista, and featured the unveiling of commemorative plaques from the Ministry of Education and the Municipality. The school currently serves over 500 students and is undergoing infrastructure adjustments following the relocation of the Juanito Laguna Kindergarten.

In Capital, the Bernardo de Irigoyen School celebrated its centenary. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education, Susana Montaldo, along with various educational officials and community members. The event included artistic performances, special distinctions for staff, and the debut of the school’s official song.
