Argentina Senate completes review of 67 judicial nominations

The Senate's Commission of Agreements, led by Senator Juan Carlos Pagotto, has concluded the analysis of 67 judicial nominations for positions within the Judiciary and the Public Ministry. This follows five days of public hearings held between August 4 and August 18.

Among the candidates who presented their backgrounds were Andrés Guillermo Fraga, a candidate for a federal appellate court position in San Justo, and Germán Luis Artola, proposed as an assistant public defender. Other nominees included candidates for federal courts in Córdoba, Salta, and Dolores, as well as various prosecutors and judges for the Federal Capital.

The ruling party intends to bring these nominations to the Senate floor for approval in upcoming sessions. This process is part of a broader government initiative to fill approximately 300 vacancies within the National Judiciary.
