Argentine Senate presents documentary on Guillermo Brown
The Argentine Senate hosted the presentation of the documentary ‘Brown: entre dos mares’, directed by Manuel Fernández Arroyo. The film reconstructs the life and legacy of naval hero Guillermo Brown, focusing on his civil, political, and family dimensions beyond his military career.
National Senator Agustín Coto, who initiated the presentation, noted the importance of preparing for the upcoming 250th anniversary of Brown next year. The initiative is linked to a legislative project to establish March 3 as a National Day in honor of Brown, which has already received partial approval from the Senate and awaits consideration by the Chamber of Deputies.
The documentary, produced in Tierra del Fuego, aims to highlight Brown's role as an immigrant who integrated into Argentine society, establishing a life in Buenos Aires and becoming an influential member of the community.
