Argentine Senate reinstates national tourism merit awards
The Argentine Senate has reinstated the Distinction for Tourism Merit, an initiative led by the Senate Tourism Commission chaired by Senator Mariana Juri. The awards aim to recognize key actors across various provinces who contribute to the development, sustainability, and innovation of the national tourism sector.
Among the recipients, the municipality of Bernardo Larroudé in La Pampa was honored for the development of the Francisco Spinelli Thermal Park. The complex utilizes natural mineral-medicinal waters to provide wellness and relaxation services, helping to establish the locality as a significant thermal tourism destination.
Other notable award winners include Mendoza’s Wine Rock Sessions, which was recognized for integrating live music, gastronomy, and enotourism. Additionally, the Conventions and Visitors Bureau in Mar del Plata received honors for its role in the meetings and visitors sector, while Fenoglio in Río Negro was recognized for its international prestige in the chocolate industry.
