Argentine students lead community and animal welfare projects

Students in Argentina have completed two distinct community service projects focused on social solidarity and animal welfare.

In Reconquista, second-year students from Colegio San José organized a community day in the Guadalupe neighborhood. The initiative, which included a breakfast and recreational games for local families, was designed to foster social commitment and human formation. The students visited local institutions, such as the Community Integration Center, before hosting an event at the Parochial Cáritas hall.

In Villa Carlos Paz, fourth-year students from IPEM 359 “Dr. Arturo Umberto Illia” completed a two-month project titled “Patitas Felices.” The program supported the IPAD animal shelter by collecting food, blankets, and clothing. Additionally, students used recycled materials to construct dog houses and cushions, while participating in educational activities regarding responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
