Argentine theater venues host diverse local productions

Local theater venues in Argentina are hosting diverse productions this weekend. Kajay Teatro will present ‘Voy a estar esperando mañana’ at La Mandinga on October 4. Directed by Marcela Delturco, the play features a polyphonic cast exploring themes of exclusion, identity, and resistance through the stories of women and LGBTQ+ individuals. The work was inspired by a transfemicide in Formosa, aiming to give voice to those often marginalized by society.

Additionally, the Taller Municipal de Teatro’s company ‘Sin Hilo’ will perform two works at the Centro Cultural on October 3 and 4. The Saturday performance features ‘Compañía’, a satirical comedy by Eduardo Rovner examining emotional dependency and social mandates. Sunday’s program includes ‘Entre Nos’, a gender-perspective dramedy by Santiago Serrano that follows the encounter between two women with contrasting life experiences.
