Argentine tourism destinations prepare for FIT in Buenos Aires

Various Argentine tourism destinations are preparing for the Feria Internacional de Turismo (FIT), scheduled for September 26–29 in Buenos Aires.

The Santa Cruz State Secretariat of Tourism is coordinating with municipalities and private sector actors to organize a provincial presence. Tourism Secretary Diego Gamboa noted that the province is also working on internal regulations and evaluating the creation of a Provincial Tourism Council. Additionally, the province aims to strengthen its winter tourism, specifically promoting snow destinations like Río Turbio.

In Villa La Angostura, the private sector and local government will focus on promoting the ‘Visit 7 Lakes’ product. Martín Suero, president of the Villa La Angostura Hotel and Restaurant Association, stated that the destination will hold meetings with operators from Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, and Chile to expand market reach and strengthen the commercialization of the Seven Lakes Route.
