Argentine towns celebrate local anniversaries with community events
Various towns in Argentina are holding celebrations for their respective anniversaries. In Gálvez, the community is marking 140 years with diverse activities. Recent events included a musical program titled ‘Piano Rodante’ for local primary school students, which transformed the Casa de la Historia y la Cultura into a concert hall featuring works by Chopin, Beethoven, and Disney.
Meanwhile, the town of Garré is celebrating its 115th anniversary through a joint effort by the municipalities of Trenque Lauquen and Guaminí. The festivities include the inauguration of a new Garré Delegation building, the delivery of homes through the ‘Programa Solidaridad’, and a commemorative ceremony at the Playón Municipal ‘Prof. Gustavo H. Prienza’ to recognize community contributors.
