Barracas Central striker Gonzalo Morales faces gender‑violence accusations

Gonzalo Morales, forward for Argentina’s Barracas Central, was publicly accused by his former partner Karen Dinna of sustained physical, psychological and verbal abuse during their relationship. Dinna posted a detailed statement on social media, sharing photographs of bruises on her eye and knee and screenshots of WhatsApp exchanges that she says document assaults, threats of death and intimidation by Morales’s family. She confirmed that a formal criminal complaint had been filed. The allegations surfaced shortly after Morales scored the winning goal for Barracas Central against River Plate in the opening match of the Clausura tournament. Barracas Central released an official statement rejecting any form of gender violence and said it will monitor the case, while neither Morales nor the club has made a personal comment.
