Gonzalo Morales suspended by Barracas Central over gender‑violence claims

Gonzalo Morales, a 23‑year‑old forward for Barracas Central who is on loan from Boca Juniors, was separated from the club’s professional squad as a preventive measure after his ex‑partner, Karen Dinna (also reported as Karen Adinna), filed a formal gender‑based violence complaint. In a lengthy Instagram post, Dinna provided photographs showing bruises to her eye and knee and shared excerpts of WhatsApp messages that describe physical, psychological and verbal abuse, including being hit, kicked, hung, locked in the house, and threatened with death. She also alleged that members of Morales’s family tried to intimidate her, saying “with money you can settle everything.”

Barracas Central issued an official statement condemning any form of gender violence, confirming the preventive separation, and pledging full cooperation with judicial authorities while the investigation proceeds. The club reiterated its commitment to respect, integrity and the values of sport. Morales has not made any public comment on the allegations, and the case remains under judicial investigation, with a restraining perimeter order reportedly imposed by a judge.
