Argentine universities advance infrastructure and campus expansion projects

Educational infrastructure projects are advancing at two national universities in Argentina.

At the Universidad Nacional Guillermo Brown (UNaB) in Burzaco, construction is underway for a second building dedicated to classrooms and workshops. Located on the thirteen-hectare Quinta Rocca site, the new structure will exceed 1,000 square meters across two levels. The project, a joint effort between the Municipality and the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, will include technical classrooms, computer labs, administrative offices, and specialized spaces for Mechatronics and Informatics. The design aims to preserve the natural environment, including a historic oak tree.

Simultaneously, the Universidad Nacional de Hurlingham (UNAHUR) has signed a contract to revitalize its Experimental Field. This project, involving an investment of approximately 2.1 billion pesos, aims to improve training for the Institute of Biotechnology and agricultural programs. The work includes upgrading existing buildings and installing new facilities such as a 70-square-meter dome, three 200-square-meter greenhouses, and a path circuit. This initiative resumes work that had been interrupted in late 2023 due to payment issues.
