Argentine universities present research on territorial and sustainable energy issues
Academic institutions in Argentina have presented research addressing regional development and sustainability. The National University of Tucumán (UNT) participated in the XV Biennial Colloquium on Territorial Transformations in Santiago, Chile. Organized by the Association of Universities of the Montevideo Group (AUGM), the event focused on urban and rural transformations, public policy, and regional integration under the theme of managing common resources during crises.
Separately, the National University of Santiago del Estero (UNSE) presented findings at the 5th International Congress of the American Gran Chaco. The research analyzed how food and energy companies in Northwest Argentina (NOA) contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 7, which aims for affordable and clean energy. The study identified various corporate initiatives, including energy efficiency measures and the incorporation of renewable sources, highlighting the role of private sector responsibility in regional sustainability.
