Argentine workers demand overdue pay from service station and municipal event

Twelve employees of a service station in Funes, Santa Fe province, were left without work after a stalled transfer of ownership left the business closed. The workers have not received their May salaries or a mid‑year bonus, and social security contributions have not been paid since February. The previous owner, Bribal Agro S.R.L., carried debts that delayed the sale, and the new buyer refuses to assume those obligations, leading to a legal dispute over the station’s future.

In Tartagal, Salta province, a dozen municipal employees who worked on the "Corso Color" festival have not been paid for their services more than four months after the event. The municipal union reports that the municipal government has not clarified the payroll records, and some workers were omitted from the official lists. The union has warned of possible strike action if the payments and other pending labor commitments are not resolved.
