Argentine Writers Society branches celebrate milestones in Entre Ríos and Misiones
Branches of the Argentine Writers Society (SADE) are marking significant anniversaries in the provinces of Entre Ríos and Misiones.
The Entre Ríos branch was recognized by the Chamber of Deputies for its 62 years of institutional history. Since its founding, the entity has focused on promoting local authors and publishers. SADE Entre Ríos president Miguel Ángel Rodríguez noted that the organization provides legal and accounting protection for its members, as well as consultancy for first-time authors. He also highlighted the challenges facing the profession, citing a decline in new writers due to digital distractions.
Meanwhile, the Misiones branch is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the First Symposium of Literary Essays and a Provincial Meeting of Writers. Scheduled for November 13 and 14 at the National University of Misiones, the event aims to bring together academics, independent writers, and journalists. The symposium will address themes such as provincial identity, territoriality, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the publishing sector.
