Argentine youth sports: Litoral hockey and Olavarría basketball advance

In Argentine youth sports, the Litoral regional selections have shown strong performances in national promotional championships. In the Sub-16 hockey category, the Litoral team secured a spot in the semifinals after finishing second in their group with 8 points, following a 2-0 win against the Uruguayan Federation and a 1-1 draw with the Cordoba Federation. Players María Maggi and Antonia Ereño Cionco are representing the region in this tournament.

In the Sub-14 hockey category, the Litoral team experienced mixed results. After an initial perfect run with victories against San Juan B (1-0) and the Chilean Federation B (5-0), they lost their undefeated streak with a 2-0 defeat to the Cordoba Federation. Despite this, they remain in second place in Zone B with 9 points, led by Josefina Basualdo.

In basketball, the Olavarría Basketball Association (ABO) U17 selection maintained a perfect record in the Zonal Tournament. They secured a decisive 82-48 victory over Tandil, marking their third consecutive win. The team now prepares for a final match against Necochea to contend for the title.
