Argentinian clubs bolster squads with signings of Federico Mancuello and Luis Ángel Díaz

Argentinos Juniors announced the signing of 37‑year‑old midfielder Federico Mancuello on a productivity contract that runs until 31 December 2027. The veteran, a product of Independiente’s youth system, has previously won the 2010 Copa Sudamericana with the club and added titles in Brazil with Flamengo and Cruzeiro, as well as stints in Mexico. He has appeared in 510 professional matches, scoring 55 goals and providing 59 assists, and made a brief appearance in the club’s recent Apertura match against Independiente Rivadavia.

Independiente Rivadavia confirmed the arrival of 22‑year‑old Colombian winger Luis Ángel Díaz from Envigado. The player, who has logged 130 matches and 14 goals in Colombia, will replace Sebastián Villa after the latter’s return to Boca Juniors. Díaz’s move marks his first overseas experience and was completed under coach Alfredo Berti following a failed transfer to Newell’s Old Boys.
