Argentinian police dismantle major drug gangs in Rosario and Buenos Aires Province

In Rosario, the Federal Police's Special Investigations Unit (DUOIE) arrested five members of the so‑called “Clan Muñoz” operating in the Villa Banana neighbourhood. Those detained include Luis Miguel Muñoz, Mario Ezequiel Peralta, Jorge Gustavo Muñoz, a minor identified as T.Y.M., and Eduardo Rodolfo Muñoz, who was subject to a 20 million‑peso capture warrant. The clan, a splinter of the former “Los Monos” group, is linked to the murder of federal agent Rodolfo Manfredi.

Separately, the Buenos Aires provincial police, through the Directorate of Investigations Against Organized Crime, conducted 43 raids across La Matanza, Morón, Lomas de Zamora and General Rodríguez. About 30 suspects, predominantly Peruvian nationals, were arrested and authorities seized 1.4 kg of cocaine, 4.3 kg of marijuana, various quantities of base paste, “tusi” cocaine, as well as firearms and vehicles. Thirteen drug‑selling bunkers in the Villa Celina‑Pilar area were demolished, crippling the organisation’s distribution network.
