Argentinian senior centers roll out digital literacy workshops and social events

The Centro de Jubilados y Pensionados in San Clemente, Argentina, has begun open workshops for older adults on Mondays and Fridays, covering basic computing, social‑network use, digital security and an introduction to artificial intelligence. The program aims to narrow the digital divide that can limit seniors’ autonomy and participation in a technology‑driven society.

Other retirement centers in the province are also hosting social activities. The “Pétalos de Rosas de Abril” center in Berisso will hold a monthly party with buffet, games and live music, while the Villa Elvira seniors’ center is organizing a Father’s‑Day lunch‑and‑dance. Additionally, PAMI offers a catalogue of in‑person and virtual courses—ranging from languages and IT to arts and health—available to members and non‑members alike.
