Argo reconstruction presented at Mikro Mouseio Spilias

Shipbuilder Nikos Repos presented the reconstruction of the Argo, the mythical ship of the Argonauts, during an event at the Mikro Mouseio Spilias. The presentation focused on the technical challenges and the philosophy of preserving Greek maritime heritage through traditional methods.

Working alongside his father, Giannis Repos, and Apostolos Kourtis, Nikos Repos aimed to replicate the logic and techniques used in antiquity. The reconstruction was a highly demanding project, resulting in a vessel built entirely of wood without any metal components. The construction utilized approximately 55,000 wooden pegs to secure the structure.
