Argonaut Games announces Croc 2 remaster release date
Argonaut Games has announced that development for the remaster of Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos is complete. The title is scheduled for release on October 29, 2026.
Originally released in 1999, the remaster will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG. The update features enhanced visuals, quality-of-life improvements, and new gameplay mechanics such as a triple jump. Players will navigate over 40 levels across four distinct villages while using various vehicles, including minecarts, boats, and a wooden airplane.
A digital museum titled ‘Croc2pedia’ is included, featuring previously unreleased development materials, cut content, and a 90-minute documentary titled ‘Croc2mentary’ containing interviews with the original and remastering teams. The announcement coincides with ‘Croctober,’ a month-long series of updates and news from the developer.
