Argos Archaeological Museum reopens after 12‑year renovation

Greek Culture Minister Lina Mendoni inaugurated the restored Archaeological Museum of Argos, turning the 950 m² facility into a modern cultural hub. The museum, closed since 2014, now displays significant Mycenaean artifacts in a space twice the size of the previous one.

It is the 32nd museum delivered by the Ministry of Culture since July 2019 and forms part of a broader regional development plan backed by EU recovery funds and national resources. Officials said the project will boost cultural tourism, education and the local economy of Argolis.
