Argos-Mykines Municipality distributes 60 tons of fruit

The Municipality of Argos-Mykines has completed its annual distribution of fresh fruit to support local households in need. Utilizing a European program for the social withdrawal of agricultural products, the municipality distributed approximately 60 tons of peaches and nectarines.

The initiative was carried out in three phases through several channels, including the municipality's Social Pantry and Social Kitchen, local communities, and associations representing vulnerable groups. This program serves a dual purpose: protecting producer income during periods of market oversupply while ensuring access to high-quality nutritional products for vulnerable citizens.
