Argos Orestiko military facility to receive recruitment hall upgrade

The Western Macedonia Region and the Greek Ministry of National Defence have signed a programmatic agreement to upgrade the facilities of the Recruitment and Training Center in Kastoria. The project focuses on the 585th Mechanized Infantry Battalion located in Argos Orestiko.

With a budget of approximately €29,972.54, the initiative aims to transform an existing 285-square-meter building into a modern, functional enlistment hall for new recruits. The renovation will address significant structural damage and infrastructure deficiencies.

Planned improvements include roof waterproofing, the installation of a new false ceiling, wall repairs, painting, and the replacement of flooring and frames. Additionally, the project covers the installation of a new electrical network, an electrical panel, two air conditioning units, and the construction of gypsum board partitions.
