Šargovac school initiates animal food drive for abandoned pets
A teacher at the ‘Đura Jakšić’ Primary School in Šargovac, Nataša, has launched a solidarity initiative to support abandoned animals. After adopting a dog herself, she contacted the ‘Humanost spaja’ association to involve her students in a food collection drive.
The school has purchased approximately 1,000 KM worth of pet food. The local business Pet City is supporting the effort by providing discounted prices and has pledged to double the amount of food collected by the school. As a token of appreciation, the school will receive an aquarium with fish at the conclusion of the campaign.
Additionally, the Pet City branch in Budžak has partnered with ‘Humanost spaja’ to double any food donations made by citizens until December 31. These donations will be distributed by volunteers to feed abandoned animals in the Banjaluka area.
