Institutional investors shift stakes in Hut 8 and Halliburton
Weiss Asset Management LP cut its stake in cryptocurrency miner Hut 8 Corp. by 25.8% in the first quarter, selling 164,160 shares and ending the period with 472,186 shares, about 0.42% of the company worth roughly $22.15 million. Other institutions such as Vanguard Group, Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management and Ameriprise Financial also increased their holdings in Hut 8 during recent quarters.
Clough Capital Partners L P took a new position in oilfield‑services firm Halliburton, buying 566,429 shares valued at about $22.1 million, which represents roughly 0.07% of Halliburton and 2.1% of Clough’s portfolio. Halliburton recently reported Q2 revenue of $5.71 billion and earnings per share of $0.55, and secured new development contracts with Basra Oil Company in Iraq and additional work in Kuwait, underscoring a positive outlook for its international project pipeline.
