Aria Vega nominated for Latin Grammy Best New Artist

Colombian singer Aria Vega has received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, a milestone she describes as a “graduation” after six years in the professional music industry.

Vega, whose real name is Mariana Padilla, saw her career gain significant momentum following the success of her song ‘CHÉVERE (premium_remix)’, a collaboration with rapper Ryan Castro that reached number one on the Billboard Colombia Hot 100. She noted that the timing of the recognition feels right, providing a sense of stability and clarity that she felt she lacked earlier in her career.

Reflecting on her journey, Vega highlighted the importance of long-term career building and the role of strategic collaborations. While she has achieved notable success, including recognition at the Premios Juventud, she maintains ambitious long-term goals, such as headlining major international festivals.
