Ariadna Ayala to seek legislative office via PT in 2027

Ariadna Ayala Camarillo, the municipal president of Atlixco, has confirmed her intention to participate in the Labor Party (PT) internal processes to seek a candidacy for the 2027 elections. While she has not specified whether she will run for a local or federal deputy position, she clarified that she will not seek a third term as mayor, noting that consecutive re-election is constitutionally prohibited.

Ayala Camarillo emphasized her commitment to the PT and stated she would follow all established timelines to ensure electoral compliance. She also expressed support for the PT leading the municipal candidacy for Atlixco in coalition with Morena and the Green Party, similar to previous election cycles. Additionally, the mayor dismissed rumors of instability within her administration, stating there have been no resignations or requests for leave within her cabinet or council.
