Pop star Ariana Grande and actor Ethan Slater have quietly ended their three‑year romance, deciding to stay friends after a mutual decision. Sources close to the former couple said the split was amicable and that both continue to respect each other.

The pair first met on the set of the film adaptation of the musical “Wicked” while each was married—Grande to former husband Dalton Gomez and Slater to his longtime partner Lily Jay, with whom he has a three‑year‑old son, Ezra. Their relationship began after Slater’s separation from Jay two months earlier.

Grande is now focused on her “Eternal Sunshine” tour, which launched in Oakland, California, and on the upcoming album “Petal,” slated for release on July 31.
