Ariana Grande has commenced a 10-night residency at London’s O2 Arena as part of her Eternal Sunshine tour. The performances mark the singer’s first UK shows since 2019 and serve as the final leg of her current tour.
During the residency, Grande has featured elaborate, cinematic staging including sets that resemble a rundown house and lighting rigs transformed into police helicopters. The tour comes at a pivotal moment for the artist, who has announced she will take an indefinite hiatus from public life and professional appearances once the residency concludes on September 1. Grande stated her decision to step back comes from a ‘thoughtful and empowered place’ to escape ‘endless, ongoing public scrutiny.’ Additionally, she has withdrawn from an upcoming London revival of the musical ‘Sunday in the Park with George.’
