Ariana Grande Unveils Alternative Cover for 'Petal' Album via Target

Pop star Ariana Grande revealed an alternate album cover for her upcoming eighth studio record, Petal, which will be sold only in physical formats through the U.S. retailer Target. The limited‑edition vinyl and CD are meant to attract collectors and boost sales of tangible music products, a tactic similarly used by other major pop acts.

Grande also explained the creative concept behind Petal, describing the title as a metaphor for life sprouting through hard, cold cracks and expressing a “don’t‑care” attitude toward negativity. She said the project reflects a rawer, more unfiltered side of herself, focusing on personal growth rather than chart‑topping ambitions. The album is slated for release on 31 July 2024.
