Ariano International Film Festival crowns Lino Banfi with career award

The 14th Ariano International Film Festival took place in Ariano Irpino from July 27 to August 2, showcasing 65 finalist works from 19 countries across several sections, including World, Green, Made in Campania and a newly created AI section dedicated to films made with artificial intelligence. All screenings and events were free to the public and were held in the Auditorium Comunale “Lina Wertmüller” and the Sala Palazzo Uffici.

During the closing ceremony the festival presented the Hirpus d’Oro della Carriera to veteran actor Lino Banfi. In the Made in Campania competition, the short film “Camera con vista” by director Mario Porfito won the prize, while the AI section featured works such as Elad Baadany Hoogervorst’s “Orange harvest” that received a special mention.
