Ariel Diwan launches candidacy for mayor of Morón

Ariel Diwan, a businessman and coordinator for La Libertad Avanza, has formally launched his candidacy for mayor of Morón. The announcement took place during a youth congress in the Buenos Aires province, attended by over 1,000 young people.

Supported by provincial leader Sebastián Pareja and various national and provincial legislators, Diwan emphasized the party's goals for the 2027 elections. He expressed a desire to see Javier Milei remain president to complete his administration and criticized the current tax burden in the province.

The event also highlighted internal tensions within La Libertad Avanza. Digital activists and political figures have used the congress to voice disputes, particularly targeting Sebastián Pareja. These frictions follow previous disagreements regarding candidate placement during the 2025 list closures.
