Ariel 'Toty' Rosales homicide trial rescheduled for November
The trial for the death of Ariel 'Toty' Rosales has been moved forward by one year and is now scheduled for November 19 and 20. Rosales, 41, was killed when he was struck by a vehicle while heading to work on Avenida Independencia.
The defendant, Venezuelan national Estanis Tabasca Rebolledo, faces charges of simple homicide with 'dolo eventual'. Although toxicology reports returned negative for alcohol and drugs, prosecutors argue that Rebolledo acted with reckless disregard for human life by driving the wrong way against traffic while sober.
Rebolledo, who works as an application driver, is currently in preventive detention. The victim's friend, Diego Torres, and attorney Federico Adler have requested the maximum sentence of 25 years for the defendant.
