Arika Resources starts 20,000m gold drilling program in WA

Australian miner Arika Resources announced a drilling campaign of more than 20,000 metres of reverse‑circulation and diamond drilling across its Kookynie and Yundamindra gold projects in Western Australia’s Leonora‑Laverton corridor. Initial work will focus on the Cosmopolitan, Altona and Ithaca prospects at Kookynie, with Yundamindra drilling to follow at the Pennyweight Point, Landed at Last and other targets. Soil‑geochemistry surveys at the newly defined Emerald City area have been completed to guide the first modern drilling there.

The programme builds on 14,752 m of drilling completed earlier in the year and aims to extend known high‑grade mineralisation, test new structural targets and support a maiden mineral resource estimate for Yundamindra. Managing Director Justin Barton said the company is entering “the most active exploration period in its history” and expects regular updates on assay results, geochemistry and the Emerald City drill program throughout 2026.
