ARiMR implements new agricultural loans, aid, and inspection rules

The Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) in Poland is implementing several financial and regulatory updates for the agricultural sector. The agency has increased the pool for preferential loans to 1.5 billion PLN, supporting farm development, land acquisition, and processing investments. Additionally, 11.3 million PLN has been allocated for interest rate subsidies.

Farmers facing crop damage from weather events such as frost, hail, or storms may be eligible for support ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 PLN per hectare, provided losses exceed 30 percent of average annual production.

Regarding oversight, a new threshold has been established where farmers reporting less than 10 hectares of qualifying area for payments are exempt from conditionality inspections and related administrative penalties.

Separately, the agency has faced scrutiny regarding its internal spending. Reports indicate that ARiMR paid out approximately 155 million PLN in bonuses and special allowances last year, an amount that exceeded the total bonuses paid by all other ministries combined. Management bonuses accounted for nearly 9 million PLN of that total.
